WHO WE ARE

The Growing Nepal Story

Growing Nepal was founded by primary working director Susan Welch, an Australian, after many trips and much time spent in Nepal. Susan collaborates with other Australians doing proactive community service work there along with Kathmandu partners Society for Humanism Nepal (SOCH Nepal) and Padbank. We aim to benefit the needy and the disadvantaged with health education, green energy, community building and solutions for financial empowerment. 100% of what we fundraise goes to our projects, while our trekking combinations in Nepal raise money to support us while we support others.

(4 Great women trainers in washable menstrual kits)

Growing Nepal Foundation is excited to be working with and developing Padbank’s strength and range in training ultra poor women in Nepal to make their own durable washable menstrual pad kits. We all see menstrual hygiene, sanitation and sexual education as vital to the health and happiness of Nepali women, plus helping to break down stigmas associated with menstruation and women’s power and place. Padbank ladies, you rock for helping women in Nepal rise!
